Can I use my AutoCAD license on my desktop at home and my laptop when I'm traveling? Or is it locked to one machine?

Pretty sure you can use it on multiple devices, just not simultaneously. I've got my Fusion 360 on my desktop and my macbook and it's fine. You just log in.

Yeah, my license for Maya lets me install it on a couple of machines. You just manage it through your Autodesk account, afaik. As long as you're not signed in on all of them at once, it's cool.

How do payments work on Autodesk DE? Can I use PayPal or is it just credit card stuff?

I've always used a credit card, but I'm pretty sure they have other options. I'd expect PayPal to be one of them, most big sites do.

Pretty sure they accept major credit cards and maybe bank transfer? Check their FAQ on payment methods, it'll list everything they take. I haven't seen PayPal myself but wouldn't be surprised.

They have sales around Black Friday/Cyber Monday for sure. Also keep an eye out for end-of-financial-year stuff, they sometimes do flash sales then too. Got a good deal on an AEC collection last year.
